Ελλάς

Ελλάς : means Greece.
We came back from our short holiday in Greece yesterday , where we stayed on the island Kreta (kriti). We rented for 3 days a car, this way we could drive into the mountains - on small roads- and another day we made a boattrip and visited some beautiful harbor places. Under some photograps of typical Greek inhibitants living in their little villages . This are black dressed mostly older people. They are dressed in black showing that they lost someone they loved, mostly their life-partner (Husband or wife) or a brother-sister.

This black dressed people are living in small places or in the mountains , really where 'the time stood still', they were difficult to photograph from a driving car wich isn't easy to do ( moving pic's) Overall it was not busy in Greece , better say it was quith , still front-season. The weather was a little cool ( around 20 degrees) , as also the sea , in between warm-windy, but very nice ( gezellig) for a short break. We could eat our breakfast and lunch/dinner always outdoors in the sun, listening to the Greek music and just relax and do NOTHING.

IOS ............. came home yesterday too from his holiday dogsitter-family. 4 Very sweet people dog-loving people . They went with IOS to their beachhouse in the weekends and during the week, to a wood with other animals _donkey/cows_. But we were very happy to see IOS back and we hughed her nearly flat.

Back at home........The flowers in the garden all popped out , its smelling great in the backyard : the best time of the year. We don't need to go on vacation now.
