Canada visiting ....

My Canedian family have many Dutch friends, so 1 couple ( Miep and Kees) visited our house, they used to travel around by camper to different countries.

We went with Yvonn's house wich is very designed , the walls are all having different colours.....We went with her 2 small children to the Dollar-rama ( everything there is only 1 dollar) to the Wal-mart and the Mac Donalds of course for the children.

Visiting Debbie, she is has a beautiful dream-forest house..... only for rich people.... wow!!!!!

This is how the houses in Canada are built: first a hole in the ground for the basement, the Canedian houses are all basicly made out of wood, later they add on vapour-barrier from the inside. The inside walls are made of gyprock ( in dutch: gips met een laagje hardboard) the black material goes outside the house , this kind of insulation , over that all they add stone...... (stucco: its a kind of a paste and later it turns hard) .

The Canedians have plenty of wood, six inches is filled up with insulation..... The windows are all double (also triple) placed, because it reduces heat loss, also good to know in winter the temperature can reach minus 40 degrees under zero!!! Wow....

Hi Joann
Nice blog. However the description of the house being build:
insolation, not isolation.
