Hey here we Bert and JoAnn are again...
Some impressions of Costa Rica are....
Homeless people laying on the sidewalk in San Jose, they have black feet... Watch your step...!!! because all sidewalk in San Jose were filled with holes..... Smog and polution in the streets.... All militairy guards with machineguns standing in front of shops, banks.... Houses have roofs from steel * platen van staal* , and some are having holes, no windows.
Food is okay always with beans , not much vegetables with the food but rice. Fruits are fantastic like mostly Pineapple, the watermelon-kind, mango and papaya.. Orange's are bad *dry* you better drink fresh orange juice..
In Tamarindo , where we are now, also called beach Paradise .... Here are holes in the sidewalks wich are all stony and sandy, the roads are sandy too. When this is paradise???? Anyway people are poor here we noticed that many time's, their homedogs are skinny.
Economy,The average salary of a male her is 200.000 CR colon a month and from a female is 138.000 CR colon a month. The houses are overall not very well build. People are overall very very friendly. But the tourist's are dropped down * we red that somewhere in the newspapers*
What we did so far,
Yesterday, a boattrip in a forest in Tamarindo , we saw a lot of species of birds in the trees , a leguan, crabs, *eekhoorsn* , Monkeys.
Today a lazy day,
Tomorrow we are going for a Canopy-tour, thats a way of seeing the forsts from a high vieuw, you hang on a line high up in the trees and you pass 14 platforms.... The idea behind it is that you see all *things* what's happing high in nature, like monkeys , birds etc.....
Well for now, for soon...we wish everybody a FELIZ NAVIDAD

Hi JoAnn & Bert,
Although you meet a lot of poverty, it must be very nice to stay in Costa Rica. I suppose you'll travel to the jungle soon?
And of course, you must have been prepared to see all this poverty, stray dogs, skinny people, dry land and dirt roads...
Michel and mé are flying to Lissabon tomorrow for a 6 day holiday. Not as nice when you think of the temperature, but friendly people and nice food too!
See you in the New Year. Feliz Navidad from Barbara
Hé, why is my comment not here? I posted it, but it is gone! I'll try again.
Feliz Navidad!
The day before yesterday I saw pictures of Costa Rica's nature on television. The programm folowed a pelican on his flight along the northwestern shore. It was astonishingly beautiful. No poverty in sight in this programm of course, but beaches and trees and monkeys and birds etc. etc. What a place to see!
Is the food good for you JoAnn (beans?!)?
I hope the two of you are getting relaxed and rested.

Simone
