Portimão and Praia Da Rocha

....Portimão...
Portimão is very important and wellknown for the big beaches of
***Praia da Rocha***

The Beaches on " Praia da Rocha" are therefore important for the tourist-industry. The old route from boats went via the "Rio Arade" to a place and beach named Silves wich is another wellknow touristic attraction .

Portimão in Portugal is a place in the Portugese district Faro.
It has a totall size/wide of 182 km2 and 44.818 inhabitants in 2001.
Portimão is a harborcity with the biggest sardinesfloat of Portugal , its on the mouth of the Rio Arade. The fish industry is therefore a very important income for the city the newer harbor is laying outside Portimão, in Ferragudo. (source wikipedia)

Thanks for reacting :

*Herman,? A horizontaal horizon??? I di not noticed that mybe its because I made a lot of photo's while "lying down" on a SUN-bed or on the beach?
Though.... I like to make "different" ( than reality) looking horizons, otherwise you know it cannot be a "joAnn's Shot" haha. But this are really made " by JoAnn" in Praia Da Rocha..LOL

Greetings from JoAnn/Holland

Hallo JoAnn.
Fraaie vakantiefoto's. Ze kunnen zo in de folder. Een prachtig gebied lijkt mij, en volgens mij kan het niet anders, dan dat jullie daar erg genoten hebben. Aangenamer als in het nu natte Nederland.

JoAnn, with some more of those photos and I guess Portuguese Tourism Office should pay you some ammount for all the good publicity!

You are showing Praia da Rocha in a magnificent angle.
Great.

The hand on the guitar is from my daughter Sara Cristina who is now taking guitar lessons.
After a month of weekly lessons, I think (but I'm the daddy, mind you) she plays nice.

Got a great weekend?

Hi JoAnn, great that you managed to catch some sunny days at Praia da Rocha. I was a bit concerned when I heard here in Lisbon that there was some rain forecast for the south...
Love the colours on the beach!
Now, I bet you don't imagine where Blogtrotter has landed now... Have a look... and a great week!
