Noooo not my dog behind bars!
We tried 3 years ago to bring our dog to a dog' pension for just a holiday, she was not happy at all, was crying, not eating the pension owners told us. After that we decided to bring our dog only to private people houses, and not to animal-pensions.
We found 3 years ago a good privat adress, so far so good, once a year we bring our dog to them for 1 week. But this year we want to go on 3 more holidays, so we must find for the 2 extra holidays an adress to bring our dog.
I looked for some safe farm adresses and I went to two farm-pensions last week and this week , " esspecially for dogs at OUR farm's house".... they say . Well this farmers are used to having their animals in their sheds or they are walking outside on the fields or whatever, only their animals cannot stay IN the house.. My dog is living in our house, and is a part of our family-life. Are this farmers normal and are we crazy or what???
Nex week we are going for a holiday one week to Gran Canaria./Spain. IOS is going to this people we know, a house nearby our house in the woods. Ios is a part of their family-life, she is used to this couple and their dog, sleeping in the hall and they are able to walk in/out the house and livingroom. Just like home, sweet home...
Last and this week was not a succes finding a dogsitter, I drove about 350 km by car!! Yeh hurray! Thoughth of some alternatifs perhaps girl ? OKAY...So I started also looking for ads on the internet, I went on a coffee vist at my neighbour's ,asked them if they would like to take care of...., talked to people with dogs on the streets. asked them....did they know some-one? ... put an ad in the paper..... still not found an adress!
What would you do blog-reader, should I be like farmers and just put my dog in a farmpension behind bars? Perhaps my dog is like otherOr must I follow my own idears ? I am not sure what to do, I don't/won't want to cancel the holidays either.
