It's Carnaval... wich means:
-Children (and adults) are all dressed up,
-The whole week is a celebration week,
-No traffic-jams , most take free from work,
-Not busy supermarkets,
-Fun! fun! fun! (I am not going haha)
But this children were having 'the time of their lifes'....
Carnaval is coming from the South (Brabant & Limburg) of Holland, they even have a King/Queen of the Carnaval this week. Burgemeesters give the 'key' of the city to the King/Queen of the Carnaval. People in the South are all in 'the carnaval-mood', So When you want to celebrate Carnaval, go to the South NOW! But you MUST be dressed up and like some fun! People in small villages are going there, just to go 'out of their minds' for having a lot of FUN!!! Below Amsterdam and in the Centre-+ in the North of Holland, Carnaval is celebrated by the children (dressed up). (doubleclick on photograph to enlarge)
