Memoire Village Martyr;
This under 3 photo's are made while we were staying in FRANCE at the Castel/Chateau -Constant in Bessines (360 km from Paris and 337 km from Toulouse) , we were making a "Haute limosin" car-round day-trip in the nearby area.The story behind this 'memoire-place' in Martyr, is that the entire village is burned and all the inhabitants were murdered by the Nazi's in the second world war. Very sad but good to know... The nearby area is very pretty, there's made a park where you can make fantastic walks and there are possibilities to picnic (dogs are not aloud) . The nearby villages are also very sweet & pretty, I'll show pictures of that in my next blog-post. So keep watching my blog.

Gedenkteken in Martyr;
Dus blijf mijn blog bekijken!

Thanks for the link JoAnn! I've seen some of these kind of villages in Belarus many years ago, but didn't know there were also in France!
Ted, I know ....
GmG, I always find new facts myself either, there so much to see and know in the world, life is too short!

A beautiful place with very sad memories....
Neva,
Yes very pretty indeed, but not aloud for the dogs to walk, which I completely understand. Thanks for your reaction.
