Manuel Antonio last stop, Costa Rica...

We are spending now our last two and a half day at * Manuel Antonio (click on link: the word M-A)we stay here in stone cabinas * with tree beds all arranged for families*, with a kitchen wich we never are going to use haha . But the cabinas has a pool and that we are going to use for sure!!

From the forelast Dominical .... we traveled to Manuel Antonio over the famous bumby, stony road... owww man. what a bad road!! But the Tico's are really trying to make new paved roads, wich is a hard job for them to do. All the paving has to come over the same bumby road.... we could see on our way that they were seriously working on it..... So again after a 2 hour drive (44 kilometers( and now by daylight , we could enjoy the vieuw of oil plantages and babanatrees, also the *finca's* that are Tica's farms, the black an white cows were grazing on the side of the roads... The white cows have a hugh bump on their schoulders/neck, they are also used in front of the painted wooden/cars. Beside the road we saw the locals wooden painted houses, with always laundery hanging outside their doors.... The laundery would be dirty again before it's dry because of the passing traffic and the clouds of sand.... But they are used to that we suppose... Every evening local people seemed to like it to wash their cars as it is the most normal thing their is... They have to otherwise the cars are gray from the dust...

Yesterday on Sunday we went to the famous beautiful Forest: The Manuel Antonio National Park, of course a lot of Tica's family's were joining us, ( stupid us, why go on Sunday!!!) all packed with drinks and foods for the lunch. We *Bert and I* were only cariing a half liter bottle of water with us, becase we red on our "lonely Planet guide", that somewhere in the park was a refreshing/place with drinks and food. No way, no food nor drink nowhere... So because of we had not enough to drink we had to leave the park at 1.00 pm for lunch and drinks,* we started at 8.00am* . Before reachng the entrance of the park, we had to wade through water to reach the entrance..... anyway Bert waded and I lucky me, found two boats wich were made to walk over for reaching the entrance.... At the reception we had to buy tickest as we were *no residents* , we think the residents or locals go into the Park for free, but we are not sure....
Inside this Beautiful park with again the famous sweet smell *Hmmmm lovely smell* , we saw many animals like of course the, Monkeys, turtles and different leguanas, not many birds but some butterflies and beautiful flowers.... We went for a *long* hike to the panarama vieuw, imagine us walking over sandy bumby and slippery paths..... Glad there were no muscitoos!!!! So we were lucky to reach this nice vieuw over the beautiful bays and beaches!! I was jammering about having no water and beeing so hot * temperature is humid and hot about 30 degrees* . But we held on , more or less because bert was the tuff guy!

Overall we have both an excellent sportive condition , thans to the gymn or regularly going to the sportsschool at home...!!! We also took a dive into the high waves , I did not like the waves. Even the support of Bert didn't help me to be not afraid for the high waves... The beaches are dream bounty beaches with very fine white sand. Today it's Monday and the park is closed today... so we won't go9 today to the bounty beaches. Tomorrow we go for sure again, with two litros of water and somethng to eat..... That's our last day beacuse wednesday the 10th we are leaving to the airport hotel on the airport of San Jose. We have to leave the 11th at 9.00 am in the morning and before that we must be on the airport at 6.00am....

Health... Overall our health is doing oakay , Bert is having headages now and than because of the bad *hard* pillows in some cabinas.... But overall he is doing fine . We sleep a lot because there is nothing to do here in evenbings, but we don't care about that. Me JoAann are doing soso , since Monteverde I am nausious , I don't know from what, perhaps the coffe's here or the fresh fruit drinks... we try to figger out what is making me feel sick . Yesterday I even trow up afeter eating a salade... but befor I took a cocktail named Pina Colada. So I won't try that anymore. Overall I feel not very much appetite anymore, so some days I eat some cookies and drink l a lot of water. But we both cannot complaine we are doing very well , outside of the above little thingies.

IOS!!!!! We are going home with pleasure beacuse we can't stand it any longer anymore without our doggy *IOS* ... Boy do we miss that dog as hell!!!! But we know now it's for short , untill we see our doggy back again. If we are not to tired from the flight, we for very very sure pick up our IOS doggy at the day we arrive in Amsterdam, wich will be early in the morning at plm 8.00 am.... on the 12th of January.

And ehhhh people at home don't call us early in the morning the very first days because we need some sleep, and also we have to get used again to the Dutch times , 7 hours different from here.
