Although I am not really old enough to remember this event from personal experience, it is one that many Canadians know about. Holland sent many beautiful tulip bulbs to the Canadian government in thanks. Every year there are still thousands of tulips planted in the government gardens in Ottawa (the capital of Canada) and we are reminded of the people of Holland and their princess - now Queen. Most gardens in Canada grow tulips and look forward to seeing them open early in spring.

Happy Birthday to all of those celebrating!!

Thank you for reading,

We are not that very Queeny Queenshouse, but my little purpose is also to share the typical DUTCH culture things such as the Queens birthday, as a child I went to see the Queen on her trip through the city The Hague, I was really nervous to see the Queen from nearby at that time...

Tha makes me laugh (from hapyness) when I think of that happy youth mememory.

Thanks for commenting:)
