I like them both, especially if the clouds don't have rain. I love sunny, warm skies, but clouds make it interesting.
Both views are lovely, JoAnn. I prefer the shots from inside the castle. More 'atmosphere.'

France is offering many wonderful skies. I especially love the ones through the windows. And those "roof bells" are pretty nifty too. Delightful collection of varied skies.

I like them both, though I admit that with a lack of castles in these parts, I mainly photograph the clouds. I go nuts for the clouds.

My Skywatch
I prefer the first photo through the castle window....with that curving line and the squares of color - great photo!
But in person, I think I'd prefer to be out under the wide open skies looking up at the clouds.
I love shots through windows, but in this case, I like the clouds shot. Hope you're having fun!
