or do you like gites in France or agriculture/basic/farm vacations?What do you like to do?

What we like to do is: Travelling by car to .... where ever is possible to drive to from Holland, like countries in Europe such as driving through Belgium, Germany, . for a vacation in Italy, or France. Driving From Holland to our Holiday destination its (without drink/lunch/dinner breaks) from 12 hours up to 18 hours drive to the south of France.

Utrecht Why?
Because I lived in this beautiful city for 12 years with a lot of pleasure, yesterday I visited Utrecht again and I saw this great looking Domkerk , from my house in Utrecht -about many years ago- I always saw the top of this church

St Martin's Cathedral, Utrecht,

The Church as seen from the Tower , infront the temporarly rebuilt section (2004)

Domtoren or "DOM CHURCH "(in Dutch called: Domkerk) was the cathedral of the diocese of Utrecht during the middle ages.. Once the countriy's largest church and only cathedral, dedicated to Saint Martins of Tours, it has been a Protestant Church since 1580. The building is the ons church in The Netherlands that closely resembles the classic Gothic sttyle as developed in France, All other Gothis churches in the Netherlands belong to one of the many regional variants. Unlike most of its French predecessors, the Dom church has only one tower, the 112m (368 feet) high Dom Tower wich is the Hallmark of the city.

Holland is every year celebrating Queensday on April 30th

This year Queen Beatrix was visiting Zeeland in the South of Holland.

Quess what we are Dutch people are going to do?

Of course we are all Celebrating Queensday: by wearing Orange clothes and caps, we drink Orange coloured drinks, organise braderies and other happy festivities/music and more. Mostly all Dutch citizens are free from their work , its a national Holiday.Happy Queensday!
