I like these late autumn/early winter shots. The carpet of leaves in the second picture look so attractive with that warm light illuminating them. The snow covered leaves are so typical of the first snows. Fine shots.
I'll wait for the green leaves to return.
Mooie natuuropnames JoAnn, maar de diepere gedachten daarachter klinken mij een beetje onheilspellend, of minstens wat somber in de oren. Maar in deze donkere dagen komt mij dat ook wel bekend voor. :-) Kom op, nog twee weken en dan worden de dagen weer langer en kijken we vooruit naar het voorjaar en de zon :-)
Your photo of the brown leaves under a thin layer of snow could have been taken here in Canada a little while ago.
But if you were to take the same photo today here, you would have to dig out a LOT of snow to get down to the leaves.

Beautiful photos...
Kind of cold here in California, and we might even get some rain this weekend -- which we badly need... Occasionally we get a dusting of snow, but only on the mountain tops, and then it doesn't stick around long...
