Above: When the sun is going down ( or late in the afternoon) this is how the ice-fun lloks, we are still skating... watch it: some planes left a mark in the sky...

Above: Empty beautifull new Unused ICE is waiting in the morning for some skaters

Above: And here are the skaters, enjoying the Ice, the green-water-sides are changed in white..

What great pictures! Burr. It looks so cold there. We did actually get a few snow flurries today. My favorite picture is the boy and man with the chair. I also really like the one with all the skaters. :)

I have been so enthralled by all the frozen canals this year, JoAnn, and can't believe I'm missing them! One day I will SEE them and skate on them. I promise!

The deep gray of the ice suggests the heart of winter. These are wonderful, Jo-Ann. Thanks for the tour.

Not much more to say than ... fabulous! And Madonna frames it all by singing "Frozen".

"MMMmmmmmm..... I could melt your heart!"

Oh ... sorry for humming along with the song ....

Our evening TV news in Canada featured the frozen canals in Holland. They said you were having an extra cold winter. We are too. I enjoyed your pictures.

My god Joanne,

I LOVE your new header shot, and that last photo of the ice bubbles is a mind-blower -- make sure you print that one and put it a prominent spot on your wall.

By the way, Joane, do you see the Madonna and Baby Jesus in the image? It's the shape at a 45 degree angle -- head just about in the center of the image and lower portion of the Madonna near the lower-left corner. Do you see her holding Baby Jesus?

By the way, I have not been drinking, nor am I even particularly religous...
Nuts? -- well, maybe...

Brilliant shots JoAnn. Do you use Picasa for photo editing.I downloaded it free. Its easier than Corel Photoshop.

Hope your mother is recovering well from her surgery.

Do you ballet on ice in Holland? A troupe of Russians performed ballets on ice in New Delhi, my Mom saw the show, but the ice was manufactured.

Very beautiful shots. Looks really cold though.

You have also "kicksled" in Holland. I know it with its Finnish names "potkukelkka" or "kickspark".
Some days ago in the French newspaper "Le Monde" there was a funny pic about the sleds on a lake in China.

Interesting photos with nice effects. It's cold everywhere this winter, isn't it? The bubbles in the last photo are a very neat effect. I can imagine that was a difficult photo to capture, but it came out great.

Beautiful photos JoAnn.....I love the bubbles in the ice....and the reeds next to the frozen water is lovely! I have been busy taking Clancy to the vet every other day as he has hurt his knee and I am trying to avoid a very expensive knee surgery so we are trying holistic medicine and acupuncture for him.....sigh......

Dat ziet er zao mooi uit Joan. Ik hoorde dat toen ze net de elfsteden tocht wilde beginnen dat het begon te dooien. Dat is wel jammer Ik geloof dat het anders de 100ste zou zijn is het niet
