Of course we are hoping for a BLUE sky,

Holland is every year celebrating Queensday on April 30th
This year Queen Beatrix was visiting Zeeland in the South of Holland.

Quess what we are Dutch people are going to do?
Of course we are all Celebrating Queensday: by wearing Orange clothes and caps, we drink Orange coloured drinks, organise braderies and other happy festivities/music and more. Mostly all Dutch citizens are free from their work , its a national Holiday.Happy Queensday!

This Typical DUTCH celebration day you should know about, its a reall big festivity-day in Holland, you are not able to drive on roads is cities, all roads are closed, but heeh! Its a festivity to feel happy that you are a Dutch citizen.

I was at Holland just after Queen's birthday. Went to see the tulip field. It was amazing. A friend of mine is visiting Holland now. Happy Queensday.

Hi Joann,
First, I've got to apologize for not having visited your blog for a while now -- I re-did my blog template and you got lost in the shuffle. Everything is back to normal with your link now. Whew...

Hope IOS is doing well -- she is such a beautiful dog.

And with all due respects, I had to laugh when I saw the photo of the Dutch Royal Family. I am a fan of a British comedy named "Keeping Up Appearances" and in one episode a snobbish Hyacinth brags to her poor husband Richard that the tasteless granola cereal he is now being served has the the seal of the Dutch Royal Family. (((actually they look like a fine bunch -- please give them my regards)))
