In Amsterdam... Watch out!

In Amsterdam
Are Mirrors on every corner,
Are the skies blue, trees are green, the brickstones Orange.....
In Amsterdam
Everywhere are narrow streets ,
Therefore its usefull to look through a Mirror,
In Amsterdam
You watch out for traffic around you,
They are coming faster and faster, closer and closer....

In Amsterdam
You can use the Mirror to WATCH yourself,
Or.
Watch-out for the traffic behind you?
You,
Better Be carefull!

Dutch World reflected..in glass
Or: the 'sky'is the ceiling?

Architecture & Art: from "Berlage"
Last week I showed here on my blog , some details from photo's I made of the inside from a building in Amsterdam named: "The Beurs van Berlage", This building is designed by the Dutch Designer Architect, named: "BERLAGE".
Some Blogreaders were asking me to show more,

so here it is.....More of Berlage...enjoy,
Above Left: The ceiling in black and white,

Above right: The glasshouse (for the orchestra) inside the building
Do you See? The Reflected SKY in Glass!
Right! The Sky ís indeed the ceiling!
The Black and white -non colour- is captured by me of course, because the natural colours are orange/Yellow & even green and grey/white/black.
Watch the coloured photo's below
Above; seen from above, from the balcony : an overview,
see the 'white wings' ( seen through glass) used to arrange the acoustic,
for the orchestra, which is weekly practising inside the glasshouse .

Above: Looking up at the (sky) ceiling ,
the brickstones are here in their natural colour:
orange and yellow .Look carefully because the architect,
"Berlage": he used more colours inside the building!

Above: On the ceiling a modern stellage for the hanging lamps,
I really like the lines , its an "art of itself"inside an art building...

Above: And here you see from above the lamps....
I like the shape of the square neon lamps,
Its both: awfull and art like this looks together...
.....and of course more of the inside of building
Above; Inside the building " another room" where public can watch a show,

Above : Somewhere inside the building....,
even the pipes are painted in the same colours of the stones,
-maybe to hide them?- its all a piece of art,
but you must watch carefully to see all the details....
its very arty every part of this building.

Above: a hall with artistic patterns typical for Berlage , he even used coloured stones for the patterns on the floor and even for the walls. its all great art.
Where is this endless hall ending??????

Welcome at JoAnn-D's-SKY-lines
At The AMSTERDAM ARENA In Holland
Have you ever been in Amsterdam-South? No?
Also not when Arriving at the international airport " Amsterdam SCHIPHOL" ?
Even in/above in the sky, you cannot miss this BIG/HIGH buildings, they are all ugly and pretty alltogether....! The shapes are like the "Mahattan sky-lines in the USA " Or are they not? I think that everywhere in the world there may be skylines like this , although THIS particulare skyline is standing/made in in AMSTERDAM SOUTH, with in the middle the famous Amsterdam ARENA, this is famous fo the footballteam AJAX....because its such a BIG shaped area , you can also go to the biggest shopping mall , named .... AMSTERDAM ARENA! Watch and enjoy the AMSTERDAM skylines.

The same group of Bussines buildings, seen from another LOW angle,
Building of head-office from the ' Abn-amro' bank seen from "down to up"-angle ...

Left The bank's building & other bussiness-'company buildings' at the Amsterdam Arena....

The "Heineken music Hall"
....The evening is falling.. watch pink/red-blue/grey clouds....

Good night Amsterdam!
I hope you liked watching this company sky's in AMSTERDAM

WELCOME TO JoAnn's ABC "I"
for INFORMATION ,

INFO:About INTERNATIONAL and National Trains in HOLLAND-Amsterdam. This ( last) weekend we went out for a change by train -normally we go by car- to Amsterdam CS, I wanted to share this typical DUTCH train impressions with you through photography....
When you enter Amsterdam CS....This above INFORMATION desk in front of the TRAIN-station in AMSTERDAM CS ( CS= Centrall Station in Amsterdam...)

<International & National Train shedules.
When you are inside the train station this above shedules Inform you about TRAIN leaving-&arrival- times from Dutch-National Trains (inside Holland) or International Trains.
(International: outside Holland but inside in Europe: to Belgium-France-Germany-England)

Above: Whats the meaning of the "INTERCITY" train..?
The Intercity trains in Holland are FAST trains with less stops and therefore faster than STOPtrains... You maybe arriving 1 hour faster ......It can vary more or less... but when you are travelling by a INTERCITY train from the south-to the middle of Holland its MUCH faster to travel by Intercity train....

Top:View outside seen from INSIDE a train, we were here travelling by National train In-between Utrecht, heading to the area around Amsterdam/Holland.....

Above: Seen Through a (dirty) train window;
Another DUTCH national train is passing, the colours anr Blue and yellow....
An INTERNATIONAL train, is standing/waiting in Amsterdam CS Waiting to leave for FRANCE or Germany. INTERNATIONAL trains have different colours such as White-Red and grey... International trains leave only from the BIG Capital cities like: Amsterdam-Utrecht or TeHague and Rotterdam.

Above:A Dutch train is arriving at the Amsterdam CS..Trainstation.

Amsterdam:"Heineken MUSIC Hall" & " Amsterdam Arena+ Mall"

Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall
Some Weekend Impressions.... what did we do?

Above: Heineken Music Hall, this weekend we went to a DUTCH concert in Amsterdam HEINEKEN music hall... ???? No!! Do not get confused with "Heineken beer" Because this is the "HEINEKEN Music hall In Amsterdam!

<> Marco Borsato , The Dutch Artist 'Marco Borsato' was 1 of the 2 artists...( the other one was Guus meeuwus) . I think they both are not really my style of music, but the Heineken music hall was a great experience to and it was fantastic to be there I mean, the akoustic ( the sound inside) was really great! Therefore its called a "Music Hall". We (BJ and me) were invited by a company to see the show, so therefore we could see the MUSIC Hall inside, a really impressive experience.

Above: The Amsterdam Arena Football stadion, The Amsterdam Arena (football) stadion..is the "home" of the famous Dutch footballclub "AJAX" ..This ARENA -football -stadion is also used for big MUSIC concerts , this is also the same stadion where I saw the concert of Madonna last week on september 2th... I would say that THE SOUND for music, is way BETTER in the Heineken music hall , A footbal stadion is much better for a football match, there it doesn't matter how the (music) sound is.... as long as the footbal match is alright -when the Ajax-footbal-team is winning!- You have to know that all, right?

Left:Quess?? WHO are playing mostly in The Amsterdam ARENA, Football stadion? Right:Where was Ios this weekend? "IOS" could not come with us to Amsterdam....(dogs hate cities) so Ios went to the dogsitter, IOS was so HAPPY to see the/her dogsitter back, she almost sat on her lap!!! Thanks to 'Mar & Faas', they are the best sweetest dogsitters ever!!

Above: Media Market at the Amsterdam Arena , eeehhhh we also went to the "Media market" in The Amsterdam Arena Shopping Mall... and now we know all about "Media" such as all types of Ipods MP-3's and Ipod-docking stations, BIG flat TV screens with- or without a Plasma-Screen.... Queation: are the LCD screens better? Did you know that all? if you need something on Media-whatever you should just go there and you are pretty well informed at almost evthing and prices are good (Dutch: IK BEN TOCH NIET 'GEK'!) This means: "I am not crazy at all ,I better buy my stuffs here" (Do-not buy somewhere else)"... So we'll better not....
