A Dutch impression of an Island by the sea : My "Vlieland"

Seen on this beautifull small island in Holland.

This kinds have eatable seafood inside,

with enough minerals for everyone..

we do not like to feel/meet them,

they look like pudding-Yelly-like.

Above: This Beach is made for walking,

and that is what we do.... ( do you know that song?)

The beach is good for Tour-driving ...

...good for listening to the waves,

...good for walking in the rain,

...feel the wind on your skin,

...smell the salty sea,

looking at the waves, and enjoy!

Because of the above MARVELLOUS lovely SEA-impressions...

Therefore I personally like MY HOLLAND,

I love the changing of weather, the dark clouds, the sea, the wind,

even the small island-village "Vlieland".

Remember that we making a boattrip on a weekend (2 weekends ago) just scroll down to the date SEPTEMBER 29th, see more of that boat-trip,we went by sailingboat on the Marker-IJsselmeer in a weekend?. Here I made this photo's when we were visiting MARKEN

The little 'village MARKEN has it s own HOTELbus, to pick his customers up, from the boat..
A typical GREEN wooden house in MARKEN, the colour they are using here is for all houses the same.... Look also at the bikes in front of the house, they need that also on this little island..

Beautiful wellmade gardens, and the windows are all fournitured different with home-made clean white curtains...

They"MARKER" people really like to do the laundery, all at the same day?!!! You can also see very clearly wich style of clothes/colours they like to wear, in every single house...
And again more laundery....

The above Dutch wooden shoes, are looking really old ,

also not painted (natural) and of course handmade..

LEFT-top:Wooden shoes at the Frontdoor, used for "name-plates" .

2 Big shoes with the names from Mommy-Daddy and,2 Small wooden shoes for the 2 children....

This for in case you didn't know who is living inside this house...

RIGHT-Top: Historical -Traditional female clothes of MARKEN , the women and children used to wear this clothes in 1900, now used to show the tourists, the farmers and some citizens are still wearing e wooden shoes, because they are nice & warm on wet (days) land...

More yellow (woodcolour) wooden shoes with drawings of Dutch Windmills,

Again with personal names, so typical Old Dutch..

Roof "the answer"

And again the ROOF....

Well OK to answer some people's questions,

They were asking me about, where I made this photo of the above (and also yesterdays post) ROOFTOP. This Fallen roof-top I found in the nature Animal zoo named : "BEEKSE BERGEN" in Holland.We were there with some family last month, and I like always to make different photo's, not only from the animals... because everyone is doing that right?

Yesterday's SUNDAY the weather looked like this GREAT and sunny in Holland! Come and travel with me through the town NAARDEN where I live, and I'll show you my Sunday walk....Gisteren/Zondag was het weer zo schitterend mooi, kom.... ga met mij mee in waar ik woon in NAARDEN, dan laat ik mijn ZONDAG wandeling zien...

Above-Under: the sky looked crispy-blue, even the 'smoke form planes you could see very clear...De lucht zag er zo helderblauw uit... zelfs de rook van een vliegtuigje was goed te zien....

Under and above: We, The dog and me went for a SUNNY walk to the nearest "Hei-forest" , there was a horse 'flying' away.... running with joy...Wij: de hond en ik gingen voor een zonnige wandeling naar de Hei, een paard rende met veel plezier, vliegend voorbij...

Above: A flying horse enjoyed his running, Dit rennende vliegende paard had plezier.

Above: Afterwards we saw only the horse-steps in the sand, that proofed us that he was really there, Het paard liet zijn voetsporen achter in het zand, als bewijs dat hij daar echt was geweest...

Above: My schadow ( selfportrait) is showing, that I was there also. Mijn schaduw (zelfportret) laat zien dat ik er ook echt aanwezig was.. Under; And Ios was there too and kept me company, en Ios was mijn gezelschap...

Under: A sign : "are there cows here?", Een bord dat aangeeft "dat er koeien zijn" zijn die er?..

On the road: Watch out for Cows!, Kijk uit voor de koeien!

Above and Under: Yes the cows were there! En Ja hoor de koeien waren er..

Above under: Cows on the Bussummer Hei, Koeien op de Bussummer hei

Above: Finally Home, (the roof of my house)the sun was still shining bright and we saw that the Magnolia trees - in front of our house- blossomming also, so soon the pink flowers are out, I enjoyed this SUNDAY. Toen we thuis kwamen - dak van ons huis-zagen we dat de Magnoliaboom - voor ons huis- ook in bloei staat, de bloemen zullen wel snel uitkomen....

Naarden: Dutch Roof-styles

Today: DUTCH ROOFS,

In Holland we have several styles of ROOFS,

Both roofs-photo's Look at the photo's under, you can see in NAARDEN the village where I live in 'The GOOI' area.

In Nederland zijn verschillende Dak-stijlen, beide daken van onderstaande foto's zijn genomen in NAARDEN, het stadje waar ik woon in Het Gooi.

The roof below is called a Bell-Gable, this houses on the photo, are standing in a row in The Markstraat of Naarden-Vesting village . Some houses are seperated by a narrow little path, I will show that in another post... Het onderstaande dak is de Klokgevel.

Naarden-Vesting is a very little pretty SMALL village , In-where a a lot of (10) small cosy restaurants/bars and one Hotel are located. The several restaurants serve fine Dutch-,French- and Italian- cousine. There are also a lot of beautiful Antique shops, and there is a very luxury fourniture DESIGN-shop with designs of a famous DUTCH designer " Jan des Bouvrie" in the ' Arsenaal' make that a lot of people/tourists from all over Holland and far abroad, come to visit this village.

Naarden_vesting is bekend om al haar Boetieks en antiekzaakje, er zijn vele restaurantjes en natuurlijk het Arsenaal waarin de "Jan des Bouvrie ontwerpen" zijn tentoongesteld en deze zijn te koop . Mensen/toeristen komen van heinde en verre om dit stadje te bezoeken.

Above: The roof of my house with red-rooftile-stones, which is very ordinairy (normal) for most-seen roofs in Holland. Our/my house (as shown on the photo) always has lots of birds 'landing' on top of the roof because of the many gardens in front and the back of our houses in the street....Boven: Het dak van mijn huis met rode pannen, het meest geziene daksoort in NL, waarop veel vogels 'landen' vanwege de vele voor-achtertuinen in de omgeving.
