But when you do believe in something like this YAKULT you must pay for it, I tried YAKULT once, but NEH not for me I do not like it and it doesn't dome any good, at least NOT better than regular food ..instead I eat/drink Yoghurt or FROMAGE BLANC ...

Today I went back for a controlling-visit at the hospital .....

2 weeks after the shoulder surgery, as expected YES !! I have to wear the mitella/brace for another 4 more weeks , 'until juli 14th 'the next hospital visit' for sure!!' in the meanwhile I cannot make movements like; sporting as tennis, or aerobics, not biking or 'driving a car', not cooking and ironing, no household ...yippeeee! hah!!! Thats the good part....

Also not put my hair up, because I cannot move my arm above my head haha! I bought a totally new clothing like easywear from elastic or polyeter/strecing materials anyhow... I cannot open/close my jeans... eehhh..

This week on Thursday the fysiotherapy

starts for the first time, than/there I/my arm learns to move 'with pain and no fear for that' ....under control of the fysiotherapist...this is good for the painfull nerves/muscles . the fysioherapist is helping me moving forewards with my arm , carefull and she is watching that the inside-shoulder-pins are not damaging.... it takes 3/4 months to fully recover and to learn to move as usual 'without shoulder-risk and perhaps not without pain yet'... to illustrate; this post I type controlled with one hand/arm... capital marks are not so easy...

For 4/5 months I am not able to make as good/much photo's with my 'regular' camera as before,'to heavy now and I just can move one arm only' but..... I can make photo's with a small camera or my mobile phone...!! so I will try oing that...

I am afraid that I cannot drink wine (cheers to you quint!) yet, ' before ....I could just'drink' through the infuus haha! now only mineral water or and tea and coffee, SOUP also (or 'look-a-like' wine I mean drinks , like red lemonade) haha...the strong 'painkilling' medicine I use do not match with alcohol. I don't care so much about alcohol .

OVERALL I stay positive...It takes another 3/4 months , so before the winter starts I will be able to wear a coat heeh! I keep you all informed, maybe soon with som spectacular photography , yes so please come back. your comments are very welcome and helping me to smile :),

'Today My 'sky' IS the ceiling'

Update: The fluid medicine goes throug my hand, me in the hospital watching through the mirror, how my brace-arm/shoulder is looking after the surgery, all wrapped.... i am SO glad i have my cell... its ok with me now , the doc's added an 'anker' something 'inside my shoulder' to heal the 'maniscus' in my shoulder together...now the recovery is starting, i have to walk like this for 6 weeks, cannot take the brace off. i am so glad its all done now...But the sky is soon coming!!! I see the sky already....

Yep! Now you know, we are 2 Happy SWAENS , we are living here in this DUTCH field for yeeeeaaars!!! We are a couple husband& wife, and 'forever-together' and always you see us2gether, here we hide in our favorite grass, yes we do!

Last but not least: the S for Surgery,

Next week + the week after that I CANNOT join ABC wednesday .....

because I will be next week in hospital for a shoulder surgery . Through an operation, ( Arthroscopy) there will be added some Straples in my Shoulder (labrum part). The Ortopedist-doctor told me, that have to wear half a year a mitella (lets hope not! I won't like it that long) ..

After that 'I hope' the enjoy a holiday in Spain, (Holiday was already booked, before I knew about the Surgery... ) My Shoulder will not work as usual for a while, so I will not be able to blog I quess , 1 have 1 working arm...I'm so sorry for that!

What is a "Magnetic resonance imaging "?

MRI or Magnetic resonance imaging is a KIND OF MEDICAL PHOTOGRAPHY....

Knowing me.... I always bring my camera

I also did this when I went to the hospital for an MRI! Thats why I can show you the under taken photo's.....Here I was inside the HOSPITAL... to make a MRI scan, I can show you through my camera...what I saw.... I maybe cannot tell you what I felt thats not very interesting... the photo's are telling my story MUCH better! But I promisse you the MRI is a quith interesting process...

What is a MRI?

I explain that in my own words:

A MRI-machine makes a body scan (Photo) and this is always/mostly done in a hospital, because this machine are VERY expensive!

How its works is ....that you go (on the bed) inside this machine ( see photo below) for at least half a hour, before you go inside the nurse is wrapping you in with some soft leashes, to prevent movement -you must lay still-. When they are making the photo.... they tell you: "here comes a photo please lay still for 5 or 10 minutes" Each seperated photo differs in lenght of time, for example 1 photo took 10 minutes, another 5 minutes etc. While they make a photo you hear a loud tick- tick- tick sound, such as if someone is knocking loud on the outside of the machine. When you lay inside on the bed you can listen to radiomusic to relax a bit better, or you can listen to your own CD-music whatever you prefer best....because it takes a while...

A specialist/doctor must give the order to the radiolistic specialist to make an MRI " this is a photo of a part of your body".... In my case its made from my left shoulder, so the below photo's are my/JoAnn's left shoulder, taken BEFORE THE MRI. On the dark part on this photo ( you see that IN the shoulder...) is the contrast Fluid inside the shoulder, wich a radiologist doctor gave me with a special injection inside the bones. This they need to do before they make the MRI. This fluid is used to see the bones , muscles and everything else better...(or whatever part of the body they would like to see better) It is not really painless when they bring-in the fluid.... but its needed for the MRI.

Ok, the MRI-scan has been made in the hospital, it takes a week to know the outcome/result, so TOMORROW on MONDAY the 20th the result will be known and its the big day..:) . Perhaps the MRI finds out what is wrong with the shoulder,that would be great because since last DECEMBER 2007 I have a painfull Left shoulder ... but thats why they made this MRI for me. I wonder what the result will be .....

UPDATE: Today on Monday-May 19th 20.45 PM

The result is that my shoulder needs 1 or 2 surgeries soon, the first appointment is made on Tuesday JUNE 3th .They found several things which needed to be operated, the 'broken' shoulder cap that part is named "LABRUM" thats not working as it supposed to work... compare the 'Shoulder cap' with a 'Knee-cap', this knee-problem is called a 'maniscus' , a simular problem is -not working- in my shoulder .

Anyhow the result of the MRI is disappointing and I will keep you informed , because I might not be able (after the operation on June 3) to update my blog for a while...I think.

" A half year of RECOVERY is needed.... !" said mr. Doctor, hahah! Maybe you see me back next year???

I hope its not that bad...I'll let you know when the time is there..

But for now I am glad the hospital found what coursed the pain in my shoulder..this way they can help me to solve the shoulder problem, thats the GOOD news of today!!.

My Dutch uncle TED now living in Canada is very dear to me , we met last September in Canada and went on very well together and we still do. We feel the same creative way about lots of things, because he is very important to me I want to ask YOU my dear blogreaders to read the following:

This is what happened to my Uncle Ted:

For some time he did not feeling well , and he noticed unusual symptoms like shaking and feeling very tired. Finally a neurologist diagnosed PARKINSON disease, in the beginning the disease was manageable, but now he is using medication 24 hours a day! In daily life he cannot act/move the same way as before.....what a disese like parkinson change a life,

Fresh"Clean?" Fruit,

I found this fruit on the "Bussummer- Heather-field" in Bussum nearby my house , Urrgghhhh half eaten by a 'bug'- 'fly' or.... 'what's his/her name'?

NO!, this time I did not feed the fly, ( like the snail last week :) haha!, but it feeded itself. So I'd better buy some jelly in the supermarket, or another store. This way I am sure its made from 'clean' fresh fruit. :) I like fruit , but not half eaten by a bug...

Vers"schoon?" Fruit,

Deze bramen zag ik op de Bussummer-heide staan, half op gegeten door een "wat het was weet ik niet' een soort vliegje. NEE!, deze keer heb ik het vliegje niet van eten voorzien, zoals ik wel deed de afgelopen week bij de 'naakte slak' hahah:), deze vlieg voorzag zichzelf van eten. Het leek me beter om 'schone' jam in een supermarkt te kopen. Ik hou wel van fruit :), maar niet van half afgekloven fruit door van die beestjes...

Nee bedankt!! Eet Smakelijk!!

Out 4 dinner, Uit eten...

Last weekend we went out for dinner.Well anyone would say : "What's so special about that?"I would say.... the atmosphere in a restaurant should be ' making you forget everything' , thats why one goes ourt for dinner, Right? Not Right!Because the bad quality now-a-days of several restaurants is a 'normal habit', for example, last weekend dinner was so bad that I told the waiter that I was really disapointed in everything:

The service: before we even sat down he asked us what we would like to drink, Me "ehhh can I take off my coat first? Thank you!"The salade: The plate AND the salade was all frozen, the cheese inside the salade was old (tasted as paper) the walnuts were old too (not crunky but like chewinggum) The dessert: we asked for an icecream and (later) a coffee. , but we got the coffee first an after that the icecream.

The GOOD thing was that I was in/ or with a very good company , with Bert. So we enjoyed each-other instead and together we talked about a lot , so we denied the above 'bad service'. We were out for dinner......Right?

Afgelopen weekend gingen we 'eens lekker' uit eten.Wat zo speciaal is aan uit eten gaan, is dat je helemaal realxt, alles kunt vergeten, maar niet als de service en het eten niet goed zijn.

Toen we binnen kwamen begon het al: terwijl we onze jassen nog aanhadden vroeg de ober direkt '"wat wilt u drinken?" . Mijn reaktie was:" ehhhh, Mag ik eerst even gaan zitten?"..... Daarna ging het verkeerd met de 'bevroren' salade , de kaas en walnoten waren vies en oud. Voor dessert vroegen we ijs en (daarna) koffie. We kregen eerst de koffie en daarna pas het ijs....

Tja.... Gelukkig verkeerde ik in het goede gezelschap van Bert, dus we hebben ZEKER van elkaar genoten en we hebben de service en 'het eten' maar als 'bijzaak' genomen. We waren echt even eruit....Toch?

Chocolade/Chocolate mousse

Recipe of Chocolate mousse:
Melt 175 gram of Bitter chocolate together with a teaspoon of butter, keep stirring and don't rush. Stir 3 egg yellows true this with a teaspoon of coffee-extract, add a little rum-flavour only for the taste, use the 3 egg whites, and stir until the are stiff and dry, add this true the chocolate, mix . YUMMIE, I love chocolate mousse!!!!

Or......... Use chocolate 'Jolly' ( with skim milk)I got that as a present from my Canadian aunt, we cannot get that here in Holland, therefor I use this recipe of chocolate mousse, also good....


Recept Chocolade mousse :
Laat 175 gram pure chocolade samen met een puntje boter au bain marie smelten, terwijl je voortdurend blijft roeren. Niet haasten. Roer er dan 3 eierdooiers door, een theelepeltje koffie-extract en een eetlepel rum. Klop de 3 eiwitten heel stijf en droog en schep ze dan door het chocolademengsel. Ik ben helemaal verzot op chocolade mousse!!! Hmmmmmm!

Van mijn canadese tante kreeg ik een pakje "jolly" chocoladesmaak, dit maak je met melk. Oook erglekker, ik kan het hier nergens kopen, dus vandaar dit recept....
